CONFIDENT & APPROACHABLE
SETTING IT UP
A professional headshot is your digital first impression on the internet.
1-5 photo's that you can use for personal marketing. At minimum we always get a serious/professional photo and a more lighthearted candid one.
The session rate is $300 for the shoot inclusive of up to five (5) retouched photos. A non-refundable $150 deposit is required to book the session and is applied to the $300 total.
Additional retouched photo's are $50 per image.
GET IN TOUCH
Reach out to email@example.com to set up a headshot session. Please include "headshot" in the subject line along with your name, age, a relatively recent photo of yourself, and a couple sentences on what you're looking for out of a professional headshot in the body of the email.
Some details about how the shoot will go.
Sessions typically last 1.5 hours and are shot in our Williamsburg studio in Brooklyn, New York.
I suggest bringing a number of different options. A range of necklines, textures, and colors. I've found that neutral solids typically photograph better and draw more attention to you as the subject of the photo. No need to be seasonal either, so bring anything you think represents you best. The only rule is that you have to love it -- if you don't feel good in something, you won't photograph well in it either.
HAIR & MAKEUP
Women are asked to show up with a natural look and can apply makeup throughout the session as we progress should you like to make that addition. Hair should be done however you would like to present yourself.
Men are asked to come with their hair done however you would like to present yourself. If you have facial hair it should be styled the way you would like it at the beginning and you have the option to trim / remove it throughout the session.
CAN I BRING A GUEST?
The short answer is no. However, a manager can attend the final 30 minute review session as we go through the photo's if necessary. Anyone else that comes with you is free to hang out on the private rooftop or we can recommend a number of coffee shops or places to eat at around the studio. The reason for this is during the shoot you need to be present for us to get the best shots -- this wont happen if someone is there to distract us.
Picking your final shots.
We'll review the photo's and mark favorites as we progress throughout the session. This let's us collaborate and make adjustments as necessary to make sure we're getting the photo's you want. You'll leave the session knowing exactly what you got having selected the photo's that met your approval.
These selected images are then hosted on a private online gallery that you can share with anyone to help you choose your final shots for retouching.
I want everyone to look exceptionally present. You should look confident, yet approachable. Color tone will be natural to your complexion with bright eyes and white teeth.
Retouching includes global exposure correction, color grading, blemish removal, skin contouring, skin tone correction, detail sharpening, background spot removal, and highlight/shadow recovery. The usual. Nothing I do is overdone, but you will look naturally flawless.
Getting the final photos.
Retouching on a headshot session typically takes two weeks.
Final files will be delivered electronically as full resolution JPGs.
You are responsible for saving and archiving the photos for yourself once they are delivered. Re-delivery and re-uploading of archived, edited files more than 3 months after initial delivery will incur a flat rate of $150 per session.
The photos are available to you to use in any manner for personal marketing.
